Frosty Hollow Trashers @ Ankur’s Army

The Trashers took the road to Upper Dublin to take on Ankur’s Army on a muggy day with drizzle.

This game was played indoors with somewhat dim lighting.

The Trashers sported their black jerseys for this afternoon matinee.

The Singles starters were Tarik Bassal

and Mark Shaffer.

The Doubles starters were

Lance Shaffer / Dave Leno

Ken Anderson / Brandon Wiegand

Mark Patton / Bill Burger

Ankur’s Army jumped out with a 8-0 lead. Lance Shaffer and Dave Leno quieted the home crowd behind glass with scoring 5 points. Tarik Bassal then added 5 more. The Trashers were up 10-8 with the home crowd silenced. This was a close matchup and the players gave everything they had on the playing courts. Ankur’s Army prevailed and scored 3 points to take down the Trashers. Final Score 11-10. Another tight matchup which could have went either way. The Trashers stay in the playoff hunt because they are grabbing much needed points each week. They head back to the practice courts as a team as they prep for next weeks game. As always, the Trashers want big crowds so they could feed off that energy. Come out and cheer this close knit squad on!
