5-28-2022 BCRC Slammers @ Frosty Hollow Trashers

It was the Home Opener for the Frosty Hollow Trashers as they welcomed division rival the BCRC Slammers to town. The Trashers mascots were set up court side as the fans made their way to their seats. The parking lot was packed. Valet parking was not available today but would have been a nice touch for today’s game!

After the warmups took place, the Slammers Scout Squad was watching the Trashers players closely. They looked to try and figure out what lineup they were going to do as the Trashers sent out starters.

Dave Leno and Mark Shaffer took to the Singles Courts.

Dmitry Belov and Lance Shaffer, Bill Burger and Bob Hawley, and Tarik Bassal and Jelani Lay took to the Doubles Courts.

All courts started in front of a big crowd but rain came down heavy which put a half hour rain delay in the action. It wasn’t said if this helped or hurt a certain team but overall the Trashers were unable to get on the Home Scoreboard. The Trashers took a 21-0 defeat.

The Trashers now go into another BYE Week where they’ll need to get back on track and see what could be done to get a W.
