USTA Men’s Opening Day 2023
Frosty Hollow Trashers @ Topspins Average Joes
The Trashers opened their season on the road as they took the tour to Ambler Pennsylvania.
It was a 1:00 affair with windy conditions which was not ideal for the perfect action of tennis play. Fort Washington Swim and Tennis Club had their courts prepped for the players.
The Trasher team came out in their new black and red colored jerseys.
The Opening Day starting lineup for the team was penciled in.
The Singles Position Starters,

The Doubles Position Starters,
Dmitry Belov / Bob Hawley
Randy Swadlow / Ken Anderson
Boris Melnik / Bill Burger
It was Lance Shaffer who scored 5 points for the Trashers off the hop. However, that was all the Trashers would muster as they fell to the home team by a score of 16-5. The courts were kept close but were unable to grab more points. The Trashers dive into their BYE Week next and they are going to use it as a full practice week. Court side tickets are available now for the Trashers Home Opener on May 6th. Come out and cheer on this squad!
