Frosty Hollow Trashers @ Upper Dublin

It was an opening day affair as the Frosty Hollow Trashers took the trek to Tennis Avenue to take on Upper Dublin where they make their home in the charming borough.

Before they were known as the Freeze but now a new era is here. Welcome the Frosty Hollow Trashers.

The Trashers made their debut and sported their new dark gray uniforms.

They took the courts on the muddy clay for warm ups.

The Lineups were announced.

Doubles Position 1:

Bob Hawley / Randy Swadlow

Doubles Position 2:

Dmitry Belov / Lance Shaffer

Doubles Position 3:

Carlos Araujo / Bill Burger

It was Doubles duo Bob Hawley and Randy Swadlow who struck first for 5 points and gave the Trashers their first points on the season and in franchise history. From there, Upper Dublin slid back into the game and took an 8-5 lead. Dmitry Belov and Lance Shaffer lit up the scoreboard with 4 more points to make the score 9-8 in the Trashers favor. With a Singles court playing to go the intensity was in! Mark Shaffer knocked in 4 more points in clutch fashion to secure the opening day win for the Trashers!

There it is! 13-8!

First win in Franchise History!

The Trashers fans also traveled well and outdid the home crowd, with a new fan among the group!

We (Trashers) don't get pushed around. That doesn't happen here. We stick up for each other. That's the Trasher mentality. Trasher Tough!
